About The Position
The Mi-Tech Tungsten Metals site in Indianapolis is seeking a CMM Quality Technician. This role is responsible for inspecting and characterizing tungsten products from raw powder to the final product. The CMM Quality Tech will support the quality team by performing CMM inspections and providing feedback on the results to production CNC operators. Mi-Tech Tungsten Metals produces high-performance tungsten alloys for various industries including aerospace, defense, medical, and industrial applications, operating as part of the global Plansee Group.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Related experience in a manufacturing or inspection environment
- Experience operating a CMM
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading
- 3+ years of experience inspecting product or working in a material lab
Responsibilities
- In process inspections on CMM
- Communication of the CMM results to production
- Final inspection on the CMM
- Complete non-CMM in-process and final inspections
