About The Position

This position ensures that components and assemblies produced in the production or prototype meet all design and engineering specifications.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum five years working experience in quality assurance, metrology, or a related field.
  • Minimum five years CMM Programming using Romer or Power Inspect Software
  • Experience using calipers, micrometer, height gage, optical comparator, gage blocks, gage pins, indicators, surface plate, CMM, Romer Arm and PiTape required.
  • Training in GD&T, metrology and coordinate measuring machine required.
  • Ability to understand and analyze blue print readings, mechanical measuring instruments and inspection techniques.
  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts and operations, including calculations, percentages, etc.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, and write simple correspondence.
  • Analytical- Synthesize complex or diverse information; Collects and researches data; Uses intuition and experience to complement data.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement of products for manufacturability.
  • Strives to continuously improve expertise, knowledge and skills.

Responsibilities

  • Submit annual capital investments for plant responsible for the performing of Gage R&R and calibration of Gage track software
  • Responsible for the performing of Gage R&R and Calibration of using Gage track Software
  • Program CMM and set-up other testing devices in accordance with engineering drawing specifications
  • Measure products utilizing a CMM and other measurement devices
  • Demonstrate accuracy, thoroughness, and orderliness in performing test / inspection procedures
  • Record results and report deviations or variations from required test specifications
  • Respond to procedural problems or technical questions from other appropriate parties
  • Perform maintenance, calibration, and testing on test equipment as required
  • Set-up and maintain databases, inspection plans, and standard reports for materials, parts, or product testing
  • Make constructive recommendations in relation to product or part performance, malfunctions, failures, and breakdowns
  • Assist with technical analysis and evaluation of new or revised parts, materials, and products
  • Conduct all business related activities for, and on the behalf of, Eberspaecher within the limits of applicable local, state, and federal legal requirements.
  • Provide support to, and compliance with, all local and corporate Eberspaecher Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures and other HSE related requirements.
  • Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness and follow all ENA polices related to TS16949 and ISO 14001; looks for way to improve and promote quality.
  • Other duties as assigned.
