The CMM Programmer supports Drake’s quality system by developing and maintaining CMM programs, performing dimensional inspections, and partnering with manufacturing to prevent defects and ensure product conformance. This position plays an important role in supporting reliable, repeatable manufacturing performance and timely product releases.

Requirements

  • Experience programming and operating CMM equipment.
  • Strong understanding of dimensional inspection and precision measurement.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment and inspection tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Quality, Manufacturing, and Engineering.
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to train and support others.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in precision manufacturing, aerospace, medical, or another highly regulated environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform incoming, first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using drawings, specifications, GD&T, and precision measuring equipment.
  • Partner with operators to resolve measurement and quality issues while supporting accurate and timely product releases.
  • Document inspection results, identify nonconforming product, and maintain accurate, audit-ready records in accordance with AS9100D and QMS requirements.
  • Develop proficiency with inspection equipment, support calibration activities, and progress toward programming automated inspection equipment.
  • Take ownership of inspection activities, consistently meet quality expectations, and help ensure conforming products are delivered to customers on time.
