About The Position

Electrolux Group is seeking a detail-oriented Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) Programmer and Quality Technician to inspect incoming raw materials and in-process components and ensure they comply with engineering specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements. The role operates, programs, and maintains CMM equipment, analyzes measurement data, and supports continuous improvement initiatives within the quality department. It also ensures metrology components meet specified standards.

The position is based at the Kinston Dishwasher Plant in Kinston, North Carolina, in a normal manufacturing environment. The posted shift is 3:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience operating CMM equipment in a manufacturing or quality environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments and inspection techniques.
• Strong understanding of GD&T principles.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) to inspect machined, fabricated, and assembled components.
• Develop, modify, and optimize CMM programs using engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T requirements.
• Maintain accurate quality records and inspection documentation.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for metallurgy, providing technical leadership in material characterization, failure analysis, process development, supplier support, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Analyze inspection results and generate detailed reports documenting compliance or nonconformance.
• Verify dimensional accuracy using precision measuring instruments, including CMMs, calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and indicators.
