About The Position

CMM Operator Grand Rapids & Walker, Michigan Are you experienced in CMM programming and passionate about precision? Join a collaborative, fast-paced tool and die environment where your expertise directly impacts quality, performance, and customer satisfaction. We’re seeking a detail-oriented CMM Programmer / Operator to support our Tryout and Validation team. In this role, you will ensure our coordinate measuring equipment and programs are accurate, efficient, and aligned with engineering requirements—while working alongside a highly skilled manufacturing team. What You’ll Learn The fundamentals of tool and die shop floor operations The critical importance of safety policy implementation in a manufacturing environment Cross-functional collaboration within a highly technical production setting Who You’ll Work With You’ll collaborate daily with Program Managers, Die Makers, Machinists, and Customers Your Environment A collaborative and fast-paced tool and die shop serving customers from our facilities in Grand Rapids and Walker, Michigan. You’ll be part of a team that values craftsmanship, communication, and continuous improvement. Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Determine program requirements based on blueprint reading, GD&T, and engineering specifications
  • Write, edit, and run CMM programs using PC-DMIS software
  • Troubleshoot CMM operation and programming to ensure equipment is calibrated and functioning properly
  • Inspect and validate fixtures
  • Create, revise, and maintain work instructions and procedures related to CMM operation
  • Communicate proactively with team members to maintain efficient workflow
  • Provide hands-on support to a passionate, quality-driven team
