Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
  • Demonstrated experience in program / project management in defense or aerospace
  • Ability to obtain and maintain active TS clearance
  • Demonstrated experience with Earned Value Management, Integrated Baseline Review, and risk‑based decision making
  • Must be a US Citizen for consideration

Nice To Haves

  • 8 + years of program / project management in defense or aerospace
  • Experience with Navy FBM Customer (SSP, SPF, NOTU, etc.)
  • Proven track record delivering a major milestones on schedule / cost
  • Familiarity with Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools (e.g., Cameo, Rhapsody).
  • Familiar with FBM contracting and LRP process
  • Active Top Secret Clearance

Responsibilities

  • Lead & develop 5+ Senior Project Managers, ensuring they have clear objectives, career growth plans, and the resources needed to succeed.
  • Own program baseline – maintain the program schedule, cost to target, and risk register; drive corrective actions to keep the program on time / on budget.
  • Stakeholder liaison – serve as the LM point of contact for the Navy Program Office, shipyard partners, and internal engineering leads; champion customer intimacy and transparent reporting.
  • Earned value management – review weekly/monthly Earned Value Management System (EVMS) updates, variance analysis, and executive briefings.
  • Risk & issue management – lead the team to effectively identify, mitigate and manage risks / issues.
  • People & culture champion – model Lockheed Martin’s core values, and mentor emerging talent.
