About The Position

University Internal Medicine is a specialized adult primary care clinic serving patients 18 years and older. We provide comprehensive care for: Women’s and men’s health Preventive screenings and annual wellness visits Chronic disease management (including diabetes and high blood pressure) Care for patients with multiple or complex medical conditions Our team includes dedicated internal medicine and family medicine physicians, along with resident physicians, allowing us to deliver well-rounded, collaborative care tailored to each patient. We are committed to caring for the whole person — improving long-term health outcomes and strengthening the well-being of our community.   • American Medical Technologist (AMT)
  • American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
  • National Health career Association (NHA)
  • MedCA as a Certified Clinical & Administrative Medical Assistant (MA1)
  • National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior outpatient or primary care experience preferred (role-dependent)

Responsibilities

  • Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Certified Medical Assistant performs multi-skilled activities to support a decentralized patient-centered approach to patient care and achieve desired outcomes.
