About The Position

This position is responsible for obtaining and documenting patient vitals, performing bedside testing, and executing basic nursing procedures. The role also involves ensuring the cleanliness and organization of examination rooms, managing equipment, maintaining supply inventory, and performing basic clerical duties. The ideal candidate will demonstrate knowledge of basic nursing and patient care, with an understanding of age-specific patient needs. This role requires adherence to confidentiality, security, and quality management protocols, and involves daily patient contact, potentially including exposure to bodily fluids.

Requirements

• Knowledge of basic nursing and patient care.
• Demonstrates the basic knowledge and skills necessary to identify age-specific patient needs appropriate for this position.
• Treats all information and data within the scope of the position with appropriate confidentiality and security.
• Cooperates fully in all Risk Management, Quality Management, and Safety Activities and Investigations.
• High school diploma or equivalent; plus specialized, short-term training in basic patient care.
• Formal nursing assistant and/or medical assistant training required.

Nice To Haves

• Work experience in a clinic setting preferred.
• Certification in Nurse Assisting or Certification in Medical Assisting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document patient vitals.
• Perform bedside testing.
• Perform basic nursing procedures such as oral care, perineal/foley care, non-sterile soaks, or thermal applications.
• Ensure cleanliness of office and examination rooms.
• Clean and store equipment.
• Maintain supply inventory and re-stock as required.
• Perform basic clerical duties as needed.
