Provides care within parameters of an LPN license or Medical Assisting diploma/certification including various duties under the supervision of a healthcare provider. This role involves patient assessment, directing patient management through triage, assisting with referrals, performing appropriate care in diagnosis and treatment, and maintaining a safe and comfortable patient environment. The position also includes performing all office clinical functions such as preparing patients for exams, answering questions, performing routine laboratory work, administering injections, checking blood pressure, and measuring height and weight. Eliciting and recording medical histories, maintaining clinical records in the electronic health record, assessing vital signs, preparing exam rooms, ordering supplies, performing office laboratory tests, preparing specimens, providing patient follow-up, maintaining cleanliness, performing emergency care and CPR, recording and reporting data, participating in staff meetings and performance improvement programs, and completing medication refills and prior authorizations are also key responsibilities. The role may require working at multiple sites and utilizing Telehealth/Telemedicine.
