This full-time position is for an Indianola Urgent Care role with a Day Shift. The essential functions include delivering patient care through preparation, vital sign collection, and documentation. The role involves assisting with various procedures, exams, and diagnostic equipment, maintaining aseptic techniques, and administering medications, treatments, and immunizations under the direction of providers. Responsibilities also include preparing and organizing patient charts, filing dictations, communicating with patients about results and care plans, scheduling procedures, labs, x-rays, and surgeries, and providing pre- and post-surgery information. The role requires coordinating physician schedules, managing insurance pre-certifications, scheduling and managing patient follow-ups to ensure continuity of care, and maintaining patient confidentiality. Additionally, the position involves educating patients and families, acting as a patient advocate, ensuring accurate message delivery, assisting in training new colleagues, and cross-covering in other clinic areas as needed. The role requires documenting patient plans of care and test results, escalating non-routine issues, and completing safety checklists/quality controls. The position also requires maintaining a working knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and Trinity Health's policies to ensure ethical and professional behavior.
