About The Position

AnMed is a not-for-profit health system in Anderson, South Carolina, focused on delivering compassionate, exceptional care. The CMA/LPN/RN in a physician practice prepares patients and care areas for examinations and procedures and assists providers with direct patient care and related tasks. The role includes administering injections and handling patient messages, referrals, and scanning. Benefits packages vary and are available to employees in positions with a 0.6 FTE or higher.

Requirements

For the LPN qualification, hold an active LPN license in South Carolina.
For the Staff Nurse qualification, hold an active RN license in South Carolina.
For the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) qualification, hold medical assistant certification from AAMA, NHA, AMT, or NCCT.
For the CMA qualification, graduate from an accredited post-secondary medical assisting education program meeting the accreditation criteria listed in the posting. The program must include anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, pharmacology, medical laboratory techniques, and clinical experience.
Reliable transportation is required.
Computer proficiency is required.

Nice To Haves

Experience using the Epic electronic health record is preferred.
A minimum of two years of clinical experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare patients and patient care areas for examinations and procedures.
Assist providers with direct patient care, within training and demonstrated competency.
