About The Position

AnMed is a not-for-profit health system in Anderson, South Carolina, dedicated to providing exceptional and compassionate care. This role supports providers in a pediatric physician practice and may be filled by a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Registered Nurse (RN). The position involves preparing patients and care areas, assisting with direct patient care and office procedures, responding to patient calls, and processing requests according to physician orders. Pediatric experience is preferred. Benefits packages vary; benefits are available to employees in positions with a 0.6 FTE or higher.

Requirements

For the LPN role, hold an active LPN license in South Carolina.
For the Staff Nurse role, hold an active RN license in South Carolina.
For the CMA role, hold medical assistant certification from AAMA, NHA, AMT, or NCCT.
For the CMA role, graduate from an eligible accredited post-secondary medical assisting education program. The program must include anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, pharmacology, medical laboratory techniques, and clinical experience.

Responsibilities

Work up and room patients.
Assist providers with direct patient care in a pediatric setting, including capturing vital signs, administering immunizations and other injections, and providing breathing treatments.
Prepare patients and patient care areas for examinations and office procedures.
Respond to patient calls and route or handle them appropriately according to physician orders.
Process laboratory, radiology, and referral requests according to physician orders.
