About The Position

Assists with oversight of Club Sol shift operations while providing excellent guest service with a focus on Player’s Club members. Assists with Player’s Club functions, including operations and development, guest database management, merchandise redemption, and promotions.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Sol Casinos’ services, promotions, and events.
  • Knowledge of applicable regulatory, departmental, and Sol Casinos’ policies and procedures.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Computer proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet applications as well as a player tracking system.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Skill in working courteously with the public as well as developing and maintaining good working relationships.
  • Ability to generate business by signing up guests for the Player’s Club program as well as increasing guest retention and rated play.
  • Ability to respond calmly and diplomatically when handling guest demands.
  • Ability to keep aware of the constant changes and enhancements of the Player’s Club program and its benefits.
  • Ability to follow directions and work effectively in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical computations pertaining to the position.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to work in a smoking environment.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to operate office equipment such as a ten key, embosser, printer, and bar encoder.
  • High school or General Equivalency Diploma AND one year lead experience in a casino or hospitality environment, including six months with a player tracking system AND computer proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Demonstrated track record of reliability, responsiveness, and creativity.
  • Demonstrated track record of providing excellent guest service.
  • Must present a well-groomed appearance.
  • Must be able to work any shift, weekends, holidays, and special events, as needed.
  • Must be able to work in a smoking environment.
  • Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.
  • Must be able to obtain, maintain, and retain a valid gaming license.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises and trains direct reports and works collaboratively with them to design professional development plans that support their continuous learning.
  • Motivates, organizes, and encourages teamwork to ensure productivity targets are met.
  • Monitors the job performance of team members and provides feedback to aid in developing and enhancing skills.
  • Maintains appropriate staffing levels, including preparation of shift schedules; assigns job duties; assists with interviewing and recommending new hires; assists with training; and recommends and delivers corrective action as appropriate.
  • Prepares and/or assists with preparation and delivery of team member evaluations.
  • Keeps supervisor and management team apprised of work status and job related issues.
  • Consults with immediate supervisor to review achievements and discuss needed changes in goals or objectives as well as to ensure that Club Sol performance measures are in support of the department and Sol Casinos. Reports problems to his/her supervisor.
  • Verifies department logs and summary logs.
  • Oversees Club Sol inventory is adequately maintained with supplies, including adequate vouchers for redemption offers; performs regular inventory audits to track the quality and quantity of inventory; and provides input to supervisor for budgetary planning purposes.
  • Makes sure Point-of-Purchase (POP) displays are changed out at start and end of promotions/events.
  • Assists Club Sol staff and guests with inquiries and problems; responds to guest needs and requests that other Club Sol staff are unable to handle.
  • Walks casino floor and promotes Player’s Club memberships to guests not playing with a card, signs up new players or issues duplicate player cards, and responds to guest questions or requests.
  • Acknowledges, greets, and converses with guests on the gaming floor.
  • Promotes the Gaming Enterprise by interacting with guests in an enthusiastic, helpful, and friendly manner.
  • Creates and issues rewards cards and promotes the Player’s Club program and related promotions.
  • Performs data entry on new or changed membership information.
  • Issues point vouchers and complimentary as designated by guest account information.
  • Meets department goals and quotas.
  • Ensures accuracy of data entry records and maintains confidentiality of guest information.
  • Ensures the confidentiality of information and protection of guest rewards. Exercises appropriate discretion in producing and providing information from the database.
  • Produces and delivers club material.
  • Executes Sol Casinos’ promotions.
  • Assists in creating and developing Sol Casinos’ promotions.
  • Maintains a constant awareness of Sol Casinos’ services, promotions, and events.
  • Helps facilitate special events and slot promotions.
  • Fosters team work by working collaboratively with coworkers and ensuring that work is completed that brings credit to the team.
  • Adheres to applicable regulatory, departmental, and Gaming Enterprise policies and procedures.
  • Presents a well-groomed appearance at all times.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
