About The Position

The CRVA works to deliver experiences that uniquely enrich the lives of our visitors and residents. Through leadership in destination development, marketing and venue management expertise, the CRVA leads efforts to maximize the region’s economic potential through visitor spending, creating jobs and opportunities for the community. Brands supported by the CRVA include the Charlotte Convention Center, Spectrum Center, Bojangles Entertainment Complex, NASCAR Hall of Fame, Charlotte Film Commission, Visit Charlotte and Visitor Info Centers. The Club Server will provide greet guests, provide attentive service, answer questions, and resolve any issues to ensure a positive experience. Accurately take food and beverage orders, deliver them to tables, and handle payments for food and drink orders.

Requirements

  • Ability to anticipate customer needs, builds positive relationships with customers and vendors, goes the extra mile to satisfy and exceed customer needs.
  • Treat all customers and vendors with highest degree of respect and courtesy, delivers exceptional service to internal and external customers.
  • Obtain full knowledge of the Convention Center’s alcohol Awareness program, as well as the state of North Carolina’s policies and procedures
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and at least one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be fluent in English.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in hotel, convention center or multi-meeting facility is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Carries out all Club orders as assigned including set-up/break-down, equipment, and any additional requirements.
  • Monitors the progress of the event, replenishing food and beverage when necessary.
  • Properly handles, maintains and cleans equipment such as: linen, silver, china, glassware, fixtures, etc.
  • Assists with training of new and current banquet team members as required.
  • Maintains professional attire, image and demeanor at all times.
  • Attends all meetings as required.
  • Complies with all CRVA and BOplex policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as requested.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours to include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Consistently deliver the best in customer service. Model and be accountable ensuring that customers are always put first by living the CRVA Service Philosophy to deliver memorable customer experiences.
