About The Position

Wipro is seeking a Cloudflare Architect with Akamai migration expertise to lead architecture and migration work for enterprise applications moving from Akamai to Cloudflare. The role includes assessing existing environments, designing target-state CDN and WAF architectures, mapping Akamai configurations to Cloudflare capabilities, and defining migration, cutover, and rollback approaches. The architect will provide technical governance and architecture reviews, oversee migration activities, help mitigate risks, and support stabilization and knowledge transfer. The position also covers broader cybersecurity strategy and architecture. Responsibilities include assessing business and technical security risks, identifying threats and design gaps, recommending security controls and products, supporting deployment and integration of security technologies, and contributing to disaster recovery, RFP responses, and design assurance. The role involves coordinating with stakeholders, supporting security audits and risk registers, and providing cybersecurity awareness training. The architect may also support sales proposals and identify opportunities for security services.

Requirements

Minimum 8–10 years of experience in CDN, WAF, application delivery, and web application security technologies.
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Cloudflare CDN and WAF implementations.
Strong experience in Akamai-to-Cloudflare migration assessments, architecture design, and migration planning.
Experience designing Cloudflare architectures, migration strategies, cutover approaches, and rollback methodologies.
Experience with enterprise-scale web applications, CDN optimization, and WAF security controls.
Mandatory skills in Cloudflare WAF and DDoS.
Clear understanding of the OSI model, TCP/IP stack, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, and application delivery concepts.
Strong knowledge of CDN architectures, caching technologies, traffic routing, SSL/TLS, and web application security principles.
Good understanding of Akamai Property Manager, Akamai CDN services, Kona WAF, and Cloudflare CDN and WAF offerings.
Knowledge of application architecture, origin infrastructure, load balancing, and network security concepts.
Familiarity with traffic analysis, packet capture tools, and troubleshooting methodologies.
Experience conducting security assessments against frameworks such as NIST, SANS, and CIS.
Experience with ITIL or process-oriented domains such as incident, configuration, change, and problem management.

Responsibilities

Lead assessment and architecture design for migrating applications from Akamai to Cloudflare.
Define target-state CDN and WAF architecture, migration strategy, and implementation approach.
Review and map Akamai configurations to equivalent Cloudflare services and capabilities.
Provide technical governance, architecture reviews, migration oversight, and stakeholder guidance.
Support cutover planning, risk mitigation, stabilization, and knowledge transfer.
Design and develop enterprise cybersecurity strategy and architecture.
Evaluate business strategies and systems to identify security requirements, vulnerabilities, and risks.
Identify current and emerging security threats and design architecture elements to mitigate them.
Identify security design gaps in existing and proposed architectures and recommend changes or enhancements.
Analyze product fit and security coverage across architecture areas such as layered security, zoning, APIs, endpoints, data, compliance, and regulations.
Support technical deployment, configuration, integration, and administration of security technologies.
Assist with disaster recovery following security breaches, attacks, intrusions, or unusual or unauthorized activity.
Develop and provide security solutions for client RFPs and ensure design assurance.
Develop direction for managing cybersecurity solution portfolios, including systems, shared infrastructure, applications, and hardware.
Analyze technology environments, enterprise needs, and client requirements to establish collaboration designs or architectures.
Provide technical leadership for designing, developing, and implementing custom solutions.
Define current-state solutions, identify improvements and tradeoffs, and develop target-state solutions.
Communicate architectural recommendations and reusable patterns and propose investment roadmaps.
Evaluate solutions for integration with the broader technology ecosystem and track relevant industry and application trends.
Coordinate with stakeholders on cybersecurity issues and provide support and recommendations.
Assist in maintaining information security risk registers and supporting internal and external security audits.
Support audits of security practices and implementation of security principles to meet business, customer, and regulatory requirements.
Assist in creating, maintaining, and delivering cybersecurity awareness training for team members and customers.
Train employees on issues such as spam and malicious or unwanted emails.
Support the sales team with proposals, identify service opportunities and leads, and contribute to proposal quality and timely delivery.
