About The Position

The Cloud Platform Engineer (Site Reliability and Observability) builds and operates the cloud platforms underpinning Arden University’s digital services. Working across AWS, Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure, the role helps deliver secure, scalable and cost-effective infrastructure, strengthen automation, and improve the tools and capabilities that enable engineering teams to deliver reliable services. The role also contributes to embedding Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices across the Cloud Platform team. It includes developing monitoring and alerting, improving incident response, validating recovery processes, and automating repetitive tasks to turn operational insights into practical service improvements. The engineer works closely with cloud engineering, security, service management and application teams to promote reliability, continuous improvement and shared ownership. The position is within the Technology Department, which supports employees and students through technology, project delivery and IT operations. The role operates primarily remotely, with little to no travel expected to the Coventry head office or other campuses. The working arrangement is a non-contractual benefit, and an Arden work location is included in employment contracts. Arden cannot sponsor skilled worker visas for this role.
