About The Position
The Cloud Ops FinOps Associate Engineer manages cloud operations, FinOps practices, automation, governance, and cost optimization across Azure, AWS, and GCP environments. The role helps ensure cloud platforms remain secure, reliable, compliant, operationally efficient, and financially optimized. Responsibilities span day-to-day cloud operations, infrastructure performance and incident support, cost monitoring and optimization, Terraform-based infrastructure as code, operational automation, monitoring and observability, and cloud governance and compliance. The role collaborates with architecture, platform engineering, security, finance, and application teams, and participates in on-call support rotations as required. The position is hybrid, with three days onsite and two days working from home.

Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day cloud operations across Azure, AWS, and GCP.
- Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, availability, and health.
- Troubleshoot incidents and service disruptions; perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
- Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.
- Execute change, incident, and problem management activities.
- Keep operational runbooks and documentation current.
- Monitor cloud spend and resource consumption, investigate cost anomalies, and analyze usage trends and optimization opportunities.
- Execute rightsizing recommendations for compute, storage, and database services.
- Support Reserved Instance and Savings Plan management.
- Maintain resource tagging and cost allocation accuracy.
- Contribute to cloud budgeting, forecasting, chargeback, and showback processes.
- Track and report cost savings initiatives and realized benefits.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform.
- Automate operational tasks using PowerShell, Python, and automation platforms.
- Support cloud provisioning, configuration, and deployment activities.
- Improve operational efficiency through automation and standardization, and assist with cloud platform enhancements and optimization projects.
- Configure and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions; develop dashboards for operational and financial visibility.
- Monitor service-level objectives and KPI performance and support proactive platform health monitoring and capacity planning.
- Enforce cloud governance standards and policies; support vulnerability management and remediation.
- Ensure compliance with security, audit, and regulatory requirements and participate in cloud security reviews and risk assessments.
- Maintain cloud asset inventory and ownership records.
- Partner with Cloud Architects, Platform Engineers, Security, Finance, and Application teams.
- Support cloud modernization and optimization initiatives and recommend improvements to operational processes and cloud governance.
- Participate in on-call support rotations as required.
