About The Position

The Cloud Operations Intern will assist the Cloud Operations team with operational monitoring, incident triage, automation, documentation, and cloud service readiness activities that improve reliability, supportability, and operational visibility across Shure cloud platforms. This internship will be Onsite, based in Niles, IL.

Requirements

  • In-process of a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, or a related technical discipline.
  • Interest in cloud operations, DevOps/SRE, production support, monitoring, incident management, or service reliability.
  • Familiarity with at least one scripting or programming language such as Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, or Bash.
  • Basic understanding of cloud platforms, APIs, databases, networking, or web applications.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, ask questions, and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, accountable, and comfortable learning new tools in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Interest in leveraging AI-assisted tools to accelerate software development, scripting, operational automation, knowledge management, and problem-solving in a cloud operations environment.
  • Applicants for this position must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Shure will not sponsor applicants for this position for work visas.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor cloud operational dashboards, alerts, and service health signals; assist with initial triage and escalation.
  • Support field issue intake and investigation by collecting logs, validating symptoms, documenting findings, and tracking follow-up actions.
  • Help document and improve CloudOps runbooks, SOPs, knowledge articles, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Assist with automation and scripting efforts for repeatable operational tasks, reporting, and environment checks.
  • Support Associate Portal operational enablement by helping organize support content, access/change request workflows, and operational readiness materials.
  • Participate in cloud service readiness activities including validation checklists, deployment support preparation, and handoff documentation.
  • Collaborate with CloudOps engineers and cross-functional teams such as Development, IT, Security, QA/SV, Product, and Customer Success.
