About The Position

This internship focuses on Cloud Computing Engineering, offering a 12-week Summer Intern Program. The intern will be responsible for creating a CI/CD pipeline to deploy communication infrastructure into AWS, modernizing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Terraform Cloud triggered by GitHub Actions, and assisting with environment validation post-deployment, potentially involving automation scripting. The role requires close collaboration with Software Engineering, Software Release Management, Cloud Platform Engineering, and IT departments. The position is 100% remote and requires 40 hours per week.

Requirements

• Working towards a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Sciences or Computer Information Systems.
• Maintaining a 3.2 core GPA or higher.
• Good oral and presentation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Proficient grammar, sentence structure and written communication skills.
• Good with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Intelligent and adaptable.
• Strong sense of integrity & passion.
• Ability to manage tasks.
• Punctual and reliable attendance.
• Ability to sit and/or stand at a desk and work with a computer for extended periods of time.
• Positive attitude, team player, good interpersonal communication skills and able to work across company departments.
• Possess the requisite integrity to maintain highly confidential, sensitive information relating to employees, customers, and technologies in strictest confidence.

Responsibilities

• Create a CI/CD pipeline to deploy communication infrastructure into AWS.
• Review and modernize Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Terraform Cloud, triggered by GitHub Actions.
• Assist with validating that the environment is functional after it is deployed, which may include writing automation.
• Collaborate closely with Software Engineering, Software Release Management, Cloud Platform Engineering, and IT.
