About The Position

The Cloud backend engineer will work onsite in Jersey City, New Jersey. The role requires experience with AWS cloud services, backend programming, data engineering, and infrastructure as code. The posting lists Glue, S3, Lambda, Step Functions, ECS, Cassandra, Java, Python, and Terraform as must-have skills. Requirements

• Experience with AWS Glue, S3, Lambda, Step Functions, and ECS.
• Experience with Cassandra, Java, Python, and Terraform.
• Work authorization: U.S. citizen, Green Card holder, or GC EAD preferred.
• Must be able to work under the W2 arrangement; C2C, 1099, and third-party profiles are not accepted.

Nice To Haves

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 5 years of applied experience.
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability within AWS.
• Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages, including Java or Python.
• Expert-level experience with data engineering technologies and tools such as Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, Cassandra, and ETL processes.
• Experience building services with Spring (Boot) and gRPC APIs.
• Experience with distributed systems, microservices, Kubernetes, and containers.
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
• Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile.
• AWS Solutions Architect Certification is a plus.
