About The Position

We are seeking a talented Cloud Database Automation Engineer with a strong focus on database Infrastructure and process automation to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be crucial in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure solutions that support our database operations. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop and enhance our database infrastructure, ensuring it meets the highest standards of performance, reliability, and efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience with Python, ideally in backend or automation-focused roles.
• Strong understanding of OOP, design patterns, and Pythonic best practices.
• Experience with SQL and working knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, CosmosDB).
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficient with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud automation scripting.
• Understanding of database performance tuning, indexing, and data modeling.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with FastAPI or similar Python web frameworks (preferred).
• Exposure to IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation (bonus).
• Certifications in Python, cloud platforms, or DevOps tools are a plus.
• Ability to integrate AI-assisted workflows like Claude into automation and engineering tasks to improve efficiency and code quality.

Responsibilities

• Design and build Python/Powershell-based automation tools for database operations and data collection.
• Develop reusable frameworks and libraries for automated tools, testing, and monitoring.
• Leverage your knowledge of APIs and cloud SDKs to create intelligent, event-driven automation.
• Optimize database performance and implement self-healing systems using Python-based observability tools.
• Collaborate on defining and enforcing best practices in cloud-native database management and automated security compliance.
• Contribute to infrastructure as code (IaC) efforts using tools like Terraform, incorporating Python where applicable.
• Document workflows, scripts, and tools, and contribute to internal libraries and developer documentation.
• Stay updated with modern Python frameworks, cloud technologies, and DevOps best practices.
