The Cloud Architect is responsible for the strategic design, implementation, and governance of the organization’s cloud platforms and services. This role provides architectural leadership across Microsoft cloud technologies and Amazon Web Services (AWS), ensuring secure, scalable, and highly available solutions that align with organizational and global IT objectives. The Cloud Architect partners with infrastructure, security, engineering, and application teams to design and implement cloud architecture that support enterprise workloads, identity management, endpoint management, automation, and hybrid infrastructure integrations. Requirements

Proven experience designing and supporting enterprise cloud environments
Strong experience with Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and Microsoft 365 Apps
Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (P2) including identity governance, conditional access, MFA, and role-based access control
Experience administering Microsoft Intune for endpoint management, device compliance, and application deployment
Experience designing and administering AWS environments including core services such as EC2, S3, Kubernetes, VPC, IAM, and cloud networking
Experience with hybrid identity integrations between on-premises Active Directory and cloud identity providers
Experience designing secure cloud network architectures and implementing cloud security best practices
Experience with virtualization platforms and hybrid infrastructure environments
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams
5+ years of hands-on engineering or architecture experience in enterprise cloud or virtualized environments
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university. Relevant work experience may substitute for education requirements on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain enterprise cloud architecture across Microsoft 365, Azure, and AWS environments
Architect and manage Microsoft cloud services including Entra ID (P2), Microsoft 365 applications, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and Intune
Design and implement secure identity and access management solutions including conditional access, identity governance, and privileged access management
Develop and maintain endpoint management strategies using Microsoft Intune for device compliance, configuration management, and application deployment
Architect AWS cloud infrastructure including networking, compute, storage, identity management, and high-availability solutions
Design highly available and geographically resilient cloud solutions leveraging cloud-native services and redundancy strategies
Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and development teams to design hybrid solutions integrating on-premises systems with cloud platforms
Implement automation and infrastructure-as-code practices to improve efficiency, scalability, and operational consistency
Establish and enforce cloud governance, security controls, and best practices across multi-cloud environments
Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure and service issues across Microsoft and AWS platforms
Maintain comprehensive documentation including architecture diagrams, system configurations, operational procedures, recovery plans, and implementation documentation
Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and provide strategic recommendations for platform improvements and optimization
