About The Position
The Apparel Processing Outfitter is responsible for processing apparel merchandise shipments from receipt through stocking on the sales floor and in receiving. The role processes received merchandise according to visual merchandising and MPS standards using the inventory management system, replenishes the sales floor, and supports backroom organization. It also includes unloading trucks as needed, assisting with pricing and signage, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and providing customer service. The position works under general supervision and follows established procedures while using occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and recommend improvements to work procedures, policies, and practices. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to use company computer systems and devices, including System Two, RF/Gizmo devices, and the Point of Sale register system.
- Ability to process and organize information, including plan-o-grams, visual guides, and merchandising standards.
- Ability to review replenishment reports and organize merchandise to fill the sales floor.
- Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and coworkers.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
- Ability to use ladders and/or lifts as needed.
- Ability to regularly walk, stand, and perform computer work; occasionally lift up to 50 pounds; and seldom or never sit.
Responsibilities
- Process apparel merchandise upon receipt in accordance with Visual Merchandising and MPS Standards, using the inventory management system.
- Replenish merchandise on the sales floor as required by Visual Merchandising Standards, using the inventory management system.
- Stay informed about advertised sales to support backroom organization and replenishment.
- Unload trucks as needed.
- Assist with merchandise pricing maintenance and signage.
- Keep the work area clean, neat, organized, and stocked with supplies.
- Keep backstock merchandise organized and accessible.
- Provide exceptional customer service and help ensure a pleasant shopping experience for guests.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
