About The Position

Brown Jug, a premium wine, beer, and spirits retailer, is hiring a Sales Lead for store #267 at 2451 East Sun Mountain Village Drive, Wasilla, Alaska 99654. The role focuses on engaging customers, providing excellent service, and helping customers learn about the products Brown Jug offers. The Sales Lead also encourages sales associates to prioritize customer service and supports store operations and management as needed. The stated pay rate is $19.00 to $22.00 per hour. Brown Jug supports educational-based pay increases that can raise the hourly rate to over $30.00. The company describes its work environment as friendly and energetic. Requirements

Must be 21 years of age or older.
Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and sales staff.
Knowledge of or interest in wine, beer, and/or spirits.
An Alcohol Server Card is required, but it can be obtained after a job offer.

Nice To Haves

Retail sales experience or related customer service training is a plus.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and engage them in conversation to identify their shopping needs.
Recommend additional items to customers to build the basket.
Answer customer questions and resolve their concerns.
Motivate and energize sales associates to focus on great customer service.
Educate customers about company initiatives, including current sales and features, Brown Jug exclusive products, and special offerings such as the wine club.
Help keep the store clean, organized, stocked, and tagged.
Support the store management team as needed.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
