About The Position

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Closing Document Review Specialist to audit assigned mortgage loans in a timely manner and review completed, signed closing documents for accuracy and proper execution. The role supports post-closing activities by following up on missing or incorrect documents, clearing conditions, and communicating status with relevant teams. The specialist is expected to conduct business professionally and ethically to serve customers and support the company.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
One to two years of related experience and/or training.
Attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and email.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree.
Familiarity with governmental requirements for mortgage loan processes.

Responsibilities

Audit closing packages to confirm all closing documents are present, signed, and dated properly.
Follow up with applicable parties regarding incorrect or missing documents.
Communicate with branches and other departments about follow-up status.
Cure investor and insuring suspense items and communicate status to post-closing and insuring departments.
Assign final closing documents to the respective container in the document imaging system.
Maintain acceptable timelines and Quality Control (QC) scores for post-closing activities.
Maintain the outstanding condition pipeline and keep follow-up documentation comments current.
Clear applicable post-closing conditions.
Conduct business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase company goodwill and profit.
Work overtime when needed.
