About The Position

The Dispatch Lead will oversee all day to day/night functions within the Routing Department in the Distribution Center. This role is intimately involved in the delivery route creation and timing, tracking of all 3rd Party Logistics delivery drivers (3PLS), Customer Pre-call & Text program, account billing, ensuring the Dispatch department maintains effective daily communication with 3rd Party Logistics (3PLS), and serving as a solution provider for all internal/external customer service opportunities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • 2 plus years of experience in a warehouse or distribution center role.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs such as Office 365 and Word.
  • Working knowledge of Warehouse Management System (WMS).

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of AX system is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Helps to manage and coordinate workforce job completion
  • Handles and helps to provide resolution to escalated guest complaints
  • Helps to identify areas for improvement in dispatch satisfaction
  • Assist and support the Managers to help organize, motivate and train team members
  • Perform tasks to set the pace for daily productivity
  • Review the daily workflow and prioritize work among the team members
  • Assist and check in with the team to ensure they meet their goals
  • Provide feedback to the Manager as necessary for productivity, attendance and workplace conduct
  • Collaborate with multiple business units to service the internal/external customer
  • Ensure appropriate prioritization of work and dispatch of service requests are completed
  • Communicate with Management as needed to maximize efficiencies and resolve issues
  • Manages specific COI (certificate of insurance) requests and rescues to ensure successful guest delivery
  • Fill in as a Dispatcher/Router when required
