This role is responsible for communicating with clients to ensure timely, efficient, and error-free transaction closings. The Closer will perform data entry of all transaction details into a proprietary system, including calculating, entering, and validating closing fees and data according to client instructions. This includes various fees such as recording fees, mortgage tax, payoffs, HOAs, property taxes, title premiums, and lender fees. The Closer will also disburse transaction funds from the proprietary system as per client instructions, managing items like earnest money refunds, security deposit refunds, and proceeds. Additionally, the role involves coordinating the scheduling of closings, preparing closing documents, balancing the closing disclosure with the lender, and using daily reports to manage closing dates and provide transaction status updates to clients. The Closer will also handle client questions and resolve issues in a service-oriented and timely manner, verifying paperwork accuracy, ensuring title updates are completed, and title conditions are cleared.
