About The Position
Liberty Healthcare is seeking Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT) for a PRN/as needed Clinician position within their specialized forensic mental health program. This program is located within the Maguire Correctional Facility in San Mateo County and exclusively serves adults who are justice-involved, experiencing mental illness, and have been determined to be incompetent to stand trial. The program's mission is to facilitate early access to mental health services, provide rapid psychiatric stabilization, and efficiently restore individuals to competency.
Requirements
- LCSW or LMFT license
- Must be able to provide services in-person and onsite at the facility
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with justice-involved adults
- Experience with individuals experiencing mental illness
- Experience with competency restoration training
Responsibilities
- Providing services to program clients one-to-one, in-person, and onsite at the facility
- Conducting Psychosocial and risk assessments
- Providing brief treatment primarily focused on symptom management, psychoeducation, and crisis intervention
- Supporting clients with competency restoration training and education
- Documenting services and client status in Liberty’s electronic health record system
- Participating in treatment team and other meetings
- Collaborating with clinical, ancillary and security staff
