About The Position

This position is for a Clinician I/II, TBS-Sonoma. The role involves providing direct care and support to children and families, writing progress notes, participating in treatment planning, and utilizing behavioral interventions. The Clinician will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records, collaborating with agency and community programs, and potentially mentoring new TBS Behavioral Analysts. The position requires flexibility in hours to meet family needs and adherence to agency policies and ethical codes.

Requirements

  • Clinician I: A Masters’ degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling
  • Clinician I: Under 12 months of FTE direct care experience
  • Clinician I: Active BBS registration as an Associate
  • Clinician I: Professional Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
  • Clinician I: A Masters’ degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling
  • Clinician I: 6 months of FTE direct care experience
  • Clinician I: Active BBS Licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed

Responsibilities

  • Writes clear, accurate, and timely progress notes consistent with each contact/visit
  • Participates in the development of individualized family plans with other members of the TBS team
  • Attend weekly staff meetings, consultation, and case management meetings as scheduled
  • Accountable for individual time management
  • Develops and maintains positive relationships with agency and community programs
  • Utilizes resources to utilize behavior interventions and strategies
  • Forms positive, constructive relationships with children and their families
  • Identify strengths, skills, and positive qualities in children and families
  • Identifies temporary and sustainable resources and services within family and community environments
  • Observes and evaluates behavior, then completes a Functional Behavioral Analysis
  • Utilizes the Functional Behavioral Analysis to implement change programming
  • Records behavioral data to ensure accurate tracking of target behavior change
  • Makes recommendations to modify goals as indicated by behavioral data
  • Updates or establishes client diagnosis in conjunction with primary therapist
  • Make recommendations for all phases of treatment, including termination of TBS services
  • Maintains accurate and timely records
  • Follows all agency policies and procedures
  • Follows all agency, State and Federal health and safety rules and regulations
  • Seeks out clinical information and advice as needed, accepts constructive feedback and reasonable recommendations from supervisor
  • Mentors new TBS Behavioral Analysts
  • Maintains ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the families
  • Performs all duties in a manner consistent with the principles and values of agency, while adhering to applicable professional codes of ethics, the agency’s policies and procedures, contractor requirements, and regulatory requirements.
  • Model and communicate appropriate positive attitudes toward the agency’s Mission, Vision, and Values
  • Work collaboratively with all agency programs and staff to provide support as needed
  • Utilize and maintain calendar with all work-related details to manage time effectively and share calendar information with coworkers
  • Participate in on-going training to expand and develop professional skills
  • Perform other duties as necessary for the agency, as assigned
