About The Position
Liberty Healthcare is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) for a PRN/as needed Clinician position. This role is within a specialized forensic mental health program located in the Maguire Correctional Facility in San Mateo County. The program serves adults who are justice-involved, experiencing mental illness, and deemed incompetent to stand trial. The program's mission is to provide early access to mental health services, rapid psychiatric stabilization, and efficient competency restoration. The position is located at 300 Bradford Street in Redwood City, CA 94063.
Requirements
- Licensed professionally as an LCSW or LMFT
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in an inpatient or secure setting is helpful but not required.
Responsibilities
- Providing services to program clients one-to-one, in-person, and onsite at the facility
- Conducting Psychosocial and risk assessments
- Providing brief treatment primarily focused on symptom management, psychoeducation, and crisis intervention
- Supporting clients with competency restoration training and education
- Documenting services and client status in Liberty’s electronic health record system
- Participating in treatment team and other meetings
- Collaborating with clinical, ancillary and security staff
