About The Position

As a Clinician with the Residential program, you will coordinate client assessments and work with the child, family, legal guardian, law guardian, psychiatrist, nurse, psychologist, educators, child care staff, and other providers to prepare, implement and monitor a comprehensive, permanency-focused case plan for children in the Residential Program.

Requirements

Requires a Master’s degree; related experience preferred.
RTF Clinician requires two years of related experience.
Limited permit required, professional licensure preferred: LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT.
Must pass physical.
Must be able to complete TCI training.
Valid NYS Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

Work with the direct treatment providers to establish treatment goals for children, utilizing historical and current available information.
Meet and communicate with biological families, guardians, foster families, and case workers.
Assess individual and family situations.
Identify problem areas, treatment goals and methods to attain goals.
Provide therapeutic services to children on at least a weekly basis and families on at least a bi-weekly basis using differential treatment modalities.
Work with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement a comprehensive treatment plan and to monitor ongoing progress of child and family.
Learn and practice case coordination skills.
Work with referring and collateral agencies and prepare reports and correspondence as needed.
Record and maintain case record in accord with Agency, OMH, and other state mandates.
Participate in intake assessments as assigned.
Diligently plan for discharge/permanency, at the time of admission.
Actively communicate with clients and customers through phone and email correspondence.
Ensure quality oversight and improvement services.
