About The Position

A therapist is a clinical role responsible for providing Multisystemic Therapy to youth involved in the juvenile justice system. CARE will provide training on the evidence-based model to deliver in-home and community-based support in partnership with the court.

Requirements

  • A Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, marriage & family therapy, or other related and applicable degree.
  • Must possess an active status, with licensure or certification in accordance with the professional field required by that governing body (LLMSW, LMSW, LPC, etc.). Limited and full licenses accepted.
  • Must complete the Multisystemic Therapy (MST) training or already have proof of completion

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer one or more years of experience providing individual/group therapy with youth.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a caseload of 6 and deliver services.
  • Demonstrate skill to provide clinical services to justice-involved youth.
  • Develops and implements treatment plans that are developed with a Person-centered/Family-centered philosophy.
  • Plans and administers therapeutic MST interventions utilizing cognitive behavior techniques, motivational interviewing, and a blending of other evidence-based practices to assist the person served in managing symptoms and meeting their treatment goals.
  • Responsible for the identification of treatment referrals/resources within the community appropriate to meet the needs of the individuals served.
  • Conducts self with proper decorum in court and in interaction with community partners.
  • Confirms documentation meets clinical standards before sending to court.
