About The Position
National HME is the nation's largest direct service durable medical equipment provider with over 50 full-service branch locations. We are seeking Medical Service Technicians in Waco, TX. While no experience is required as we provide training, candidates must meet specific age and driving record requirements. This role involves delivering and setting up medical equipment, educating patients and caregivers, and maintaining a company vehicle. The position is part of a 24/7 operation with a rotating on-call schedule, emphasizing the importance of compassion, courtesy, and professionalism in all interactions. Requirements
- Must pass a drug screen
- Valid state-issued driver’s license required
- Must be at least 23 years of age
- Must have a clean motor vehicle record with no major violations (including DUI) in the past 5 years
- Subject to a criminal background check
- Ability to lift and carry equipment or machinery weighing up to 75 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Safely drive and maintain company vehicle (16-foot box truck or van).
- Enforce all DOT and FDA regulations as they pertain to Oxygen and DME for the branch they are assigned to.
- Receive a daily route and required supply list and prepare the truck for delivery by pulling stock, loading equipment on the truck, and securing and staging the vehicle.
- Deliver, unload, and set the equipment to full functionality.
- Review basic equipment operation and instruct patients and/or caregivers on the proper use and care.
- Accept other duties and activities as assigned.
- Demonstrate proficient ability to foster professional working relationships utilizing strong interpersonal and communication skills organization-wide.
- Participate in a 24/7 operation with predetermined rotating on-call schedule(s).
- Demonstrate timeliness, courtesy, sincerity, and patience in all interactions.
- Market the company in a positive and professional manner.
