About The Position

This position provides comprehensive, strength-based, culturally competent, flexible, effective, quality mental health services, including psychotherapeutic interventions, to eligible at-risk children, youth, and families. Services are provided to children and youth involved in the child welfare and Juvenile Justice systems, meeting all County requirements. Services can be delivered in the home, office, school, or other community-based settings. The role requires the ability to provide or arrange for safe transportation for youth and families to services as needed. Cultural competence to work with and outreach to diverse populations and communities is essential. The clinician is responsible for ensuring all clinical records are current and accurate, meeting organization and County timelines for submission. This includes providing and documenting all Medi-Cal eligible services, such as assessment, plan development, individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, collateral, rehabilitation, IHBS, ICC, case management, ICC-CFTs, and crisis intervention. The role also involves completing Intake, Core Assessment, Mid-Assessment, and Discharge packets within expected timelines, and accurately documenting all billable and non-billable services. Additionally, the clinician provides referrals and resources, acts as a liaison between the child/family, treatment team, and external organizations, and utilizes Evidence Based Practices when clinically indicated. Each assigned family will have an individualized safety plan that maximizes natural supports and community-based resources. The position requires attending internal psychiatric appointments with assigned youth and caregivers, participating in the agency's 24-hour family support on-call program, and participating in utilization, accreditation, and peer review processes as assigned. The clinician is responsible for meeting all outcomes documented in their Employee Development Plan and working collaboratively with internal programs, departments, and staff. Maintaining positive relationships with system partners, families, and providers is crucial. The clinician must attend all staff meetings, clinical supervision, and consultation meetings as scheduled, and participate in clinical supervision per BBS and County contract requirements. Coordination with other services under the Medi-Cal model, in collaboration with partners, ensuring documentation meets or surpasses state and federal standards, is also a key responsibility. Agency-specific duties include performing all duties consistent with the agency's principles and values, adhering to professional codes of ethics, agency policies, and County Mental Health Plan regulations. Modeling and communicating positive attitudes toward the agency's Mission, Vision, and Values, and working collaboratively with all agency programs and staff are expected. Utilizing and maintaining Microsoft Outlook calendar with all work-related details for effective time management and sharing calendar information with coworkers is required. Participation in ongoing training to expand professional skills and performing other duties as necessary for the agency are also part of the role. This is an Employment At-Will position.

Requirements

  • A Masters’ degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling
  • A Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) credential or having registered as an Associate Social Worker (ACSW), Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) or Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT)
  • A Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) credential
  • At least 1 year of experience providing services to adolescents and their families

Responsibilities
