This position provides comprehensive, strength-based, culturally competent, flexible, effective, quality mental health services, including psychotherapeutic interventions, to eligible at-risk children, youth, and families. Services are provided to children and youth involved in the child welfare and Juvenile Justice systems, meeting all County requirements. The clinician will provide services in the home, office, school, or other community-based settings and must be able to provide or arrange for safe transportation for youth and families to services as needed. The role requires specific cultural competence to work with and outreach to culturally diverse populations and communities. The clinician is responsible for ensuring all clinical records are current and accurate, meeting organization and County timelines for submission, and documenting all Medi-Cal eligible services provided. This includes assessments, plan development, individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, collateral, rehabilitation, IHBS, ICC, case management, ICC-CFTs, and crisis intervention. The clinician will complete Intake, Core Assessment, Mid-Assessment, and Discharge packets for assigned clients within expected timelines and accurately document all billable and non-billable services. Additionally, the clinician will provide referrals and resources, act as a liaison between the child/family, treatment team, and external organizations, and utilize Evidence Based Practices when clinically indicated. A key responsibility is ensuring every assigned family has an individualized safety plan that maximizes the use of natural supports and community-based resources. The role involves attending internal psychiatric appointments, participating in the agency's 24-hour family support on-call program, and participating in utilization, accreditation, and peer review processes as assigned. The clinician is responsible for meeting all outcomes documented in their Employee Development Plan, working collaboratively with internal programs and staff, and maintaining positive relationships with system partners, families, and providers. Attendance at all staff meetings, clinical supervision, and consultation meetings is required, along with participating in clinical supervision per BBS and County contract requirements. The clinician will coordinate with other services under the Medi-Cal model, collaborating with partners and ensuring documentation meets or surpasses state and federal Medi-Cal/Medicaid standards. Agency-specific duties include performing all duties consistent with the agency's principles and values, adhering to professional codes of ethics, agency policies, and County Mental Health Plan regulations. The clinician will model and communicate positive attitudes toward the agency's Mission, Vision, and Values, work collaboratively with all agency programs and staff, and utilize Microsoft Outlook for calendar management. Participation in ongoing training to develop professional skills and performing other necessary duties are also required.
