At CSR, our Behavioral Health Department (BHD) offers a comprehensive array of high quality, culturally-sensitive mental health services that provide children and families with the services they need for success at home, in school, and in the community. Our Behavioral Health Department (BHD) offers a comprehensive array of high quality, culturally-sensitive mental health services that provide children and families with the services they need for success at home, in school, and in the community. The FIT Clinician provides intensive, community-based behavioral health services to children and youth (under 21) with Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED) and their families. As part of a multidisciplinary team with Family Partners and Paraprofessionals, the Clinician delivers evidence-based treatment, crisis intervention, and family therapy aligned with the CBHI/FIT model. Care is family-driven, youth-guided, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed to promote stability, resilience, and improved well-being.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
  • Massachusetts license or license-eligible (e.g., LCSW, LICSW, LMHC, LMFT).
  • 2+ years’ clinical experience with children, youth, and families (home/community settings preferred).
  • Demonstrated trauma-informed and culturally responsive practice.
  • Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment-planning skills; crisis intervention and family engagement experience.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records and Microsoft Office.
  • Current CANS (or ability to obtain prior to start, per program policy).
  • Valid driver’s license, insured reliable vehicle, and ability to travel locally; ability to work some evenings/weekends and participate in on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide intensive family therapy, individual therapy, and caregiver sessions in homes and community settings.
  • Complete comprehensive assessments (including CANS) and develop strengths-based, culturally responsive treatment plans.
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions to improve youth functioning and family dynamics; reduce reliance on higher levels of care.
  • Provide crisis intervention, safety planning, and stabilization to maintain youth/family safety in the community.
  • Coordinate care with Family Partners, Paraprofessionals, schools, medical providers, and community agencies.
  • Maintain timely, accurate documentation compliant with agency, CBHI, and MassHealth standards.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, supervision, and required trainings to ensure fidelity to the FIT model.
  • Communicate proactively with families; offer advocacy and system-navigation support.
  • Provide consultation/support to community partners regarding behavioral health needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice.
