Clinical Unit Manager, LPN or RN
About The Position
Greenwood Village South, a 5-Star senior living community, is seeking an experienced LPN or RN to serve as a Unit Manager for a 54-bed split skilled nursing unit. This leadership role focuses on leading a nursing team, overseeing resident care, and improving clinical outcomes. The position offers ancillary support for auditing and daily staff communication, allowing the Unit Manager to concentrate on team leadership, resident support, and quality improvement. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m., with an on-call rotation every fourth weekend and availability for occasional calls outside business hours.
Requirements
- Current Indiana RN or LPN license
- Minimum of two years of nursing experience, preferably in long-term care, rehabilitation, or skilled nursing
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to motivate, coach, and develop team members
- Passion for serving older adults and improving quality of life
Nice To Haves
- Prior leadership, charge nurse, or supervisory experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and support nursing department staff
- Ensure physician orders are accurately followed and implemented
- Conduct regular rounds to assess resident needs, conditions, and quality of care
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Coach, mentor, and develop nursing staff through education and performance feedback
- Support orientation and onboarding of new employees
- Monitor clinical documentation for accuracy and completeness
- Participate in care planning and quality assurance initiatives
- Address resident, family, and staff concerns with professionalism and urgency
- Promote restorative nursing practices and resident independence
- Maintain compliance with infection control, medication management, and regulatory requirements
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and hospitality
- Partner with ancillary team members who assist with auditing and staff communication processes to support operational effectiveness
