About The Position

Greenwood Village South, a 5-Star senior living community, is seeking an experienced LPN or RN to serve as a Unit Manager for a 54-bed split skilled nursing unit. This leadership role focuses on leading a nursing team, improving resident care, and fostering a positive work environment. The position offers ancillary support for auditing and daily staff communication, allowing the Unit Manager to concentrate on team leadership, resident support, and quality outcomes. Requirements

  • Current Indiana RN or LPN license
  • Minimum of two years of nursing experience, preferably in long-term care, rehabilitation, or skilled nursing
  • Prior leadership, charge nurse, or supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to motivate, coach, and develop team members
  • Passion for serving older adults and improving quality of life

Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise, and support nursing department staff
  • Ensure physician orders are accurately followed and implemented
  • Conduct regular rounds to assess resident needs, conditions, and quality of care
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, families, and interdisciplinary team members
  • Coach, mentor, and develop nursing staff through education and performance feedback
  • Support orientation and onboarding of new employees
  • Monitor clinical documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Participate in care planning and quality assurance initiatives
  • Address resident, family, and staff concerns with professionalism and urgency
  • Promote restorative nursing practices and resident independence
  • Maintain compliance with infection control, medication management, and regulatory requirements
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and hospitality
  • Partner with ancillary team members who assist with auditing and staff communication processes to support operational effectiveness
