Clinical Trial Participant Recruitment Specialist
About The Position
The Clinical Trial Participant Recruitment Specialist supports NICR’s clinical trial recruitment efforts by managing patient outreach and enrollment activities. The role involves communicating study details to potential participants, handling inquiries and follow-ups, prescreening for study eligibility, scheduling appointments, and maintaining confidential patient and study information in NICR’s EMR system. The position is full-time and in-person, is not hybrid, and may require travel to other sites. It is based in Garden Grove/Huntington Beach. Supplemental pay types include commission and bonus opportunities.
Requirements
- Bilingual fluency in Vietnamese and English is required.
- Prior customer service experience is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, think critically, and solve problems effectively.
- Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Relevant healthcare experience preferred, such as prior experience as a Medical Assistant or working in a medical or clinical research setting. Additional training will be provided as needed.
Responsibilities
- Manage 30+ inbound and outbound calls daily, providing customer service and educating and enrolling potential participants in clinical studies.
- Answer incoming inquiries and promptly follow up on pending calls and patient leads.
- Ask targeted screening questions to determine study eligibility and update prescreening logs related to enrollment.
- Schedule and coordinate patient appointment visits.
- Accurately enter and manage confidential patient and study information in NICR’s EMR system in compliance with privacy standards.
- Maintain a professional, enthusiastic, and positive attitude.
- Travel to other sites as required.
