About The Position

The Clinical Trainer will be responsible for facilitating training sessions, providing behavior support, and overseeing the training process for new hires. This role requires clinical expertise in ABA, autism, and related areas, as well as strong organizational and communication skills. The trainer will ensure staff are competent in providing high-quality therapy and managing crisis behaviors, while also creating and organizing training materials and preparing orientation content. Additionally, the position involves completing competency assessments, RBT evaluations, and assisting with training schedules and supervision logs.

Requirements

  • Certified and maintains credentialing with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) as an RBT in good standing
  • Ability to provide direct training hours with clients as needed up to 40 hours per week
  • Meets and maintains BACB RBT supervision requirements
  • Provides and maintains a clear criminal record provided by the state law enforcement agency or Federal Criminal records check system
  • Input data, information, daily therapy session notes and other applicable items into electronic data system
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Reliable automobile to travel as needed
  • Be able to work with any client, regardless of location, schedule or level of difficulty

Responsibilities

  • Complete training to become a Safety Care Instructor and facilitate Safety Care classes as needed for new hires and recertification classes for current employees
  • Conduct ABA trainings with new hires and current staff to ensure our staff feel competent to provide high quality therapy
  • Provide behavior support as needed and educate staff on those safe practices to manage crisis behaviors
  • Provide training to RBT trainers while training new employees ensuring they are using standards set in the training manual
  • Host a regular meeting with training RBTs and location specific trainers
  • Complete initial and renewal competency assessments
  • Complete RBT Evaluations
  • Create and organize training materials as needed
  • Prepare Orientation materials
  • Oversee the completion of the training process for new hires, including but not limited to: adequate training with clients, completion of the mock exam, and proper documentation of completing the tasks
  • Assist with training schedules for new hires as needed
  • Assist with RBT supervision logs as needed
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor
