Program and Role Summary Wayfinder’s Mental Health offers therapy to children, youth, adults and families in the program. Our mental health care in the community is focused on preventative services to build resilient individuals and families. The primary focus of the Clinical Therapist, is to provide in-home clinical servies to birth and kinship families whose children are at risk of placement distruption due to emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges through a home-based counseling and support program that utilizes parent coaching, with a foxus on integrating the skills into daily family life. The therapist utilizes a team approach and partners with the family in creating treatment goals. Families in this program receive up to five (5) hours of parent coaching (skill building) and counseling services per week for up to 12 weeks. Caseloads are intentionally low to ensure an appropriate level of time and intensity while working with families.
