Weekend Sign Placer
About The Position
Artisan Direct is seeking reliable independent contractors to place and pick up temporary weekend directional signs. This is a simple, active outdoor role that offers predictable weekend income and flexible scheduling. The work involves placing signs between Friday 5 PM and Saturday 10 AM, and picking them up between Sunday 6 PM and Monday 8 AM. Contractors use a mobile app to view sign locations and a suggested installation order, and are free to complete the route in any order within the specified time windows. Most standard 30–60 sign routes typically take 45 minutes to 1.5 hours once the contractor is familiar with them. This role is well-suited for individuals seeking flexible supplemental income, such as delivery and rideshare drivers, couriers, students, retirees, and veterans, who enjoy driving, being outdoors, and working independently.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Current auto insurance
- Reliable vehicle with enough space for 30–60 signs
- A smartphone (Android or iPhone), roughly four years old or newer, capable of running our mobile app
- Ability to lift and place signs
- Ability to work outdoors
- Ability to hammer stakes 6–8 inches into the ground during the first weekend only
- Dependable and able to complete routes within the required time windows each weekend
Responsibilities
- Place temporary weekend directional signs
- Pick up temporary weekend directional signs
- Complete sign placement between Friday 5 PM and Saturday 10 AM
- Complete sign pick-up between Sunday 6 PM and Monday 8 AM
- View sign locations and a suggested installation order in the app
- Store signs safely between weekends
- Use your own vehicle for local driving routes
- Complete routes within the required time windows each weekend
