About The Position

Odyssey House is seeking a Clinical Therapist for our Adult Residential and Outpatient Programs! Odyssey House of Utah is a leading organization dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to individuals struggling with substance use disorders and behavioral health challenges. Our integrated approach combines evidence-based practices, clinical expertise, and a supportive environment to promote lasting recovery and overall well-being. We are actively seeking a passionate Clinical Therapist to join our team, providing meaningful clinical services to adults across our Adult Residential and Outpatient Programs.

Requirements

Hold a current state license as a Mental Health Professional, including CSW, LCSW, CMHC, ACMHC, LMFT, or MFT.
Hold a graduate degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field.
Have strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic modalities and interventions.
Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Be able to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary treatment team.
Understand trauma-informed and recovery-focused care principles.
Be able to maintain appropriate professional boundaries with clients.
Be adaptable and comfortable providing clinical services across both Adult Residential and Outpatient treatment settings.
Be eligible to work in the USA.
Have First Aid and CPR Certification.
Pass a criminal background check (if working with children or vulnerable adult populations).
Adhere to Odyssey House mission, philosophy, and scope of service.
Adhere to Division of Human Services Code of Conduct and all other relevant service contract requirement standards.
Ensure a safe environment for all clients and staff.
Provide exemplary customer service to both internal and external customers.

Ensure high-quality client care within the scope of the assigned position.
Clearly understand roles and responsibilities regarding specific job position, time management, personnel file requirements, client record system, incident reporting, mandatory training requirements, maintaining proper client boundaries, and individual rights of clients and staff.
Successfully complete required pre-employment screenings, which may include background checks, fingerprinting, applicable sex offender registry screenings for Adult Residential roles, and other position-related verifications.
Subject to a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review and valid Utah driver’s license if the role requires driving.

Responsibilities

Appropriately diagnose mental health and substance-related conditions using the DSM-5.
Utilize the Therapeutic Community model as a component of treatment within Adult Residential services.
Conduct individual, family, and group therapy as assigned.
Develop effective rapport with clients on caseload while maintaining healthy boundaries.
Complete thorough and effective assessments, such as funding extension requests, within required timeframes.
Coordinate client psychiatric evaluations and other wrap-around services to provide effective care.
Complete treatment planning within required timeframes.
Utilize motivational techniques to retain and support client progress.
Actively utilize the treatment team for clinical support on caseload.
Maintain 20 hours of face-to-face time with clients per week.
Connect clients to community resources.
Complete service documentation within the appropriate client management system within 24 hours.
Accurately document services using ASAM Dimensional Analysis format, including all required elements.
Maintain proactive communication with collateral supports, including family members, significant others, probation officers, judges, caseworkers, and other relevant parties, and complete accurate, thorough client and court reports within established timeframes.
Coordinate care with case managers, medical providers, and community partners.
Provide crisis intervention and clinical support as needed.
Utilize evidence-based, trauma-informed, and recovery-focused practices.
Contribute clinical expertise to program development and quality improvement.
Document all incidents immediately and report as required.
Provide high-quality client care within the scope of the assigned position.
Perform other duties as assigned.
