About The Position

The Domestic Violence (DV) & DUI Clinician is responsible for providing specialized intervention services, including court-ordered domestic violence and DUI education and treatment services. This role includes facilitating structured group interventions and providing individual services for court-involved and referred clients. The DV component of this position focuses on delivering an evidence-based domestic violence intervention curriculum that emphasizes accountability, victim safety, and behavior change in alignment with Arizona Code of Judicial Administration (ACJA) 5-209 and expectations of the Domestic Violence Court and community partners, including Emerge Center Against Domestic Abuse. The DUI component includes providing screening, education, and/or treatment services in accordance with ADHS and ADOT requirements, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards. This position will play a key role in supporting the development and implementation of both service lines and may evolve into a program leadership or supervisory role as services expand.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Counseling, or related behavioral health field
  • Licensed in the State of Arizona (Associate or Independent level preferred)
  • Experience working with domestic violence and/or court-involved populations strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of domestic violence dynamics, including power and control and accountability frameworks
  • Experience facilitating groups preferred
  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn DUI regulations and service requirements
  • Strong documentation and report writing skills
  • Ability to collaborate with courts, probation, and regulatory agencies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with resistant or court-mandated clients
  • Willingness to receive feedback and engage in ongoing professional development
  • Ability to obtain fingerprint clearance and pass a background check

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate domestic violence intervention groups using an evidence-based curriculum (e.g., Emerge, Duluth, or similar)
  • Provide individual sessions as needed to support client accountability and engagement
  • Conduct comprehensive intake assessments, including review of collateral documentation (police reports, orders of protection, etc.)
  • Utilize structured risk assessment tools (e.g., BIRAM) to assess and monitor participant risk
  • Develop and implement treatment plans focused on behavior change, accountability, and reduction of abusive behaviors
  • Complete detailed, court-aligned documentation, including progress reports and behavioral observations
  • Monitor attendance, participation, and compliance with program requirements
  • Collaborate with DV Court, probation, and community partners
  • Support coordination with victim advocacy services (Emerge) in alignment with victim contact protocols
  • Participate in case staffing's, review hearings, and multidisciplinary meetings as required
  • Provide DUI screening, education, and/or treatment services in accordance with ADHS and ADOT requirements
  • Facilitate DUI education and treatment groups
  • Conduct assessments and develop service plans based on client needs and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain compliance with all state regulations, documentation standards, and reporting requirements related to DUI services
  • Monitor client participation and compliance with court or referral requirements
  • Coordinate with referring agencies, courts, and other stakeholders as needed
  • Support development and implementation of DV and DUI program structures, workflows, and documentation standards
  • Ensure compliance with court, state, and agency requirements across both service lines
  • Assist in refining processes related to intake, reporting, and service delivery
  • Provide guidance and support to other staff as programs expand
  • Participate in ongoing training specific to DV intervention and DUI services
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation
  • Adhere to agency protocols, legal requirements, and professional standards
  • Attend supervision and participate in ongoing training
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
