The position is for 24 hours, evening shift from 3:00pm - 11:30pm with weekend and holiday rotation at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford, MA.

Requirements

  • Equal to completion of four years of high school plus specialized courses and training.
  • One year of related work experience is required.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Certified Nurse Aide, Medical Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, and Paramedic certification required.
  • In lieu of certification, must be currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program with successful completion of Fundamentals of Nursing or 1+ years of Emergency Department Technician experience.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.

Responsibilities

  • Perform variety of duties in providing direct patient care including phlebotomy, EKG, minor invasive procedures and diagnostic procedures in accordance with physicians’ orders.
  • Conduct patient interviews.
  • Provide clerical support including but not limited to patient quick registration, data/order entry, minor transcription of orders, collation of medical records and other clerical duties as assigned.
