Requirements

• High School Diploma (or equivalent)
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant License in the state of Virginia preferred
• Current BLS certification required within 7 days of hire
• Previous healthcare experience

Nice To Haves

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant License in the state of Virginia
• Handle With Care certification

Responsibilities

• Perform basic patient care activities under the direction and supervision of an RN, including monitoring vital signs, blood glucose checks, and documenting intake and output
• Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, eating, mobility, and ambulation support
• Perform designated sterile and aseptic procedures in accordance with protocol, including venipuncture, phlebotomy, IV insertion, Foley catheter insertion, and bladder scanning
• Support unit operations through administrative tasks such as copying, faxing, mail distribution, and maintaining accurate records, logs, and files
• Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to patient care standards, safety protocols, and infection control practices
