Clinical Technician 2 - ICU
About The Position
Inova Alexandria Hospital’s ICU is seeking a dedicated Clinical Technician 2. The role provides direct patient care under the direct supervision of registered nurses and involves effective communication with team members, patients, and visitors, while maintaining professionalism and integrity. Additional duties may be assigned. The schedule is full-time nights, 6:00 PM–6:30 AM, with varying days and rotating weekends and holidays. Employees must be available for six non-consecutive weeks of paid training, which includes two virtual orientations from 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, six classroom-style shifts from 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, virtual training modules, and on-unit shifts.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of experience working as a Clinical Technician, or completion of an acute care clinical rotation while actively enrolled in a nursing program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, or obtain it within 90 days of hire.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 35 pounds.
- Availability for six non-consecutive weeks of paid training.
