About The Position

The Clinical Systems Analyst I – Willow Ambulatory supports pharmacy informatics and electronic health record (EHR) operations across Cleveland Clinic’s ambulatory, community, and specialty pharmacy environments. Working within a large academic healthcare system, this role partners with pharmacy, clinical, operational, and information technology teams to support and optimize EPIC Willow Ambulatory functionality and pharmacy-related workflows. Responsibilities include building, maintaining, and enhancing EHR applications that support medication dispensing and pharmacy operations, troubleshooting system issues, analyzing workflows, and identifying opportunities for process improvement. The analyst also participates in system upgrades, testing, implementations, and ongoing optimization initiatives while providing end-user support and education to ensure efficient, accurate, and compliant pharmacy technology operations. This position plays a key role in advancing pharmacy informatics solutions that support safe medication use, operational efficiency, and an exceptional caregiver and patient experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and one year of applicable hospital/major medical center/major clinical information system experience OR High School Diploma/GED, one year of relevant experience and four years of healthcare IT experience OR and one year of relevant experience, plus an additional two years of healthcare IT experience can substitute for work experience
  • Experience typically supported by a license in a medically related field, such as Nursing, Pharmacy Assisting, Medical Assisting, Medical Technology or EMT
  • Technical certification for certain departments
  • Familiarity with the processes and procedures related to healthcare regulatory agencies
  • In-depth knowledge of clinical theory and practice

  • For Information Technology Division caregivers, ITIL Foundations certification
  • Epic Willow Ambulatory Certification/Proficiency
  • Background in outpatient/community pharmacy workflows

Responsibilities

  • Interact with end users to define problems.
  • Coordinate and conduct education and end user training programs to ensure systems are utilized as designed.
  • Assist with end user documentation development or a permanent reference for clear, concise information.
  • Provide implementation assistance for system projects through all phases of the system development life cycle with direction from the Lead Analyst.
