Clinical Support Staff - PT
About The Position
Banyan Treatment Centers is seeking a Clinical Support Staff member to join its Clinical team and support patient care for individuals overcoming addiction and mental health challenges. The role guides patients through group sessions and biopsychosocial assessments, assists primary therapists, and supports regulatory compliance and team development. This part-time, on-site position is located in Milford, Delaware, is scheduled for 24 hours per week, and reports to the Clinical Director. The role calls for empathy and compassion, strong communication and emotional resilience, problem-solving and critical thinking, flexibility and cultural sensitivity, and accountability and integrity. The successful candidate will uphold ethical standards and confidentiality while providing supportive, patient-centered care.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related Human Services field.
- Adherence to the Healthcare Code of Ethics.
- Familiarity with Joint Commission Standards.
- Knowledge of state and federal confidentiality regulations.
- Empathy and compassion, clear communication, emotional resilience, problem-solving and critical thinking, flexibility, cultural sensitivity, accountability, and integrity.
Nice To Haves
- Master's degree in Social Work or a related Human Services field.
- Licensure eligible in Delaware.
- Experience in behavioral or mental health; preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Participate effectively in multidisciplinary treatment plan reviews, demonstrating preparation and understanding of patient issues, progress, resistance, and positive and negative strategies.
- Complete baseline clinical biopsychosocial assessments.
- Conduct group sessions.
- Assist the Therapist and Case Manager as needed.
- Complete clinical documentation in a timely manner.
- Cover client caseloads in the absence of Primary Therapists.
- Assist the Therapist with familial communication and documentation.
- Assist clients in managing outside stressors.
- Maintain clinical records according to program policies and licensing and accrediting agency requirements.
- Assist the Therapist and Case Manager with discharge planning.
