About The Position

The Clinical Support Specialist supports the operations of Evergreen Home Care Services (EHCS), including Home Health, Hospice, and Palliative Care. Depending on operational needs, responsibilities may include phone operations, scheduling, intake and referral, and insurance case management. This is a part-time position working Saturday and Sunday only, for two 10-hour days.

Requirements

• Associate degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Two years of clerical support experience, including at least one year in a medical field setting.
• Proficiency in medical terminology.
• Knowledge of quality improvement initiatives.
• Knowledge of and familiarity with contracts, including terms and rates.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
• Ability to function independently, establish priorities, and work productively.
• Ability to interact professionally and successfully with a diverse range of individuals and dispositions.
• Excellent communication skills to obtain information effectively from patients, physicians, and other clients as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Two to three years of medical field experience.

Responsibilities

• Answer and route incoming calls for Home Care Services.
• Schedule appointments for all clinical disciplines.
• Provide intake and referral support for all clinical disciplines.
• Perform insurance case management for all clinical disciplines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
